Our regular Film Nights have become a firm favourite with audiences. New surround sound speakers combined with the big screen, comfortable chairs, a cosy atmosphere, reasonably priced bar and a very reasonable ticket price mean the Village Hall Cinema experience is not to missed. It’s also a great opportunity to catch up with friends and neighbours and all within walking distance!

The Remi Harris Hot Club Trio

Acclaimed guitarist Remi Harris is joined by double bassist Tom Moore and rhythm guitarist Chris Nesbitt, they present an evening of music ranging from the acoustic jazz of the 30s and 40s to the electric blues of the 60s and 70s; influenced by such greats as Django Reinhardt, Peter Green, Wes Montgomery, Jimi Hendrix and more.

From the age of seven Remi has dedicated himself to a life of guitar. His playing has taken him from busking on the streets of his local towns to performing at many prestigious events and venues around the world, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, Buckingham Palace, BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with Jamie Cullum, and on national radio and television.

The show features an eclectic mix of jazz and blues standards, original compositions, improvisations and new arrangements of familiar tunes. Remi plays a variety of acoustic and electric guitars. The ease and warmth of Remi’s stage presence, together with his virtuoso talent, will have concert goers captivated by his passion for the guitar.

Friday 27th September, 8pm
Craft Comedy are back after their first sold out comedy night! This night is not to be missed. Three TV Comedians will entertain you and a licensed bar will be available. Stephen Bailey – Live at the Apollo. Matt Richardson – ITV and Virgin Radio and Award Winning Comedian, Martin Graham All held together by Laughter Craft’s very own Jonathan Elston.
