ABOUT
Woodcote Village Hall has been at the centre of village life in Woodcote for over 100 years! Built on the edge of the village green in 1922, the hall was extended in the early 50s and again during the 70s in response to the ever-growing and changing demands of the local community. Home to a wide range of classes, clubs, organisations, activities and events, in more recent years the hall has undergone a number of improvements to keep pace with modern life. Not least adaptations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and the use of new technology to improve booking and access arrangements for hirers.
Development of the range of audiovisual equipment available to hirers means the hall now provides an ideal venue for film, productions, live music and entertainment. Improvements to the kitchen and bar equipment combined with updated furniture to provide modern, lightweight and comfortable tables and chairs, have all helped to ensure the hall remains one of the most well-equipped in the region. With a variety of spaces which can be used flexibly, Woodcote Village Hall is suitable and regularly used for a variety of small and large events which include private, public and community events.
The hall provides a perfect location for a base, pit stop or check point for outdoor adventurers making use of the Chilterns Way. With sports changing rooms providing providing shower and changing facilities as well as direct access to the large car park, the facilities are regularly used by Duke of Edinburgh and charity hike participants, as well being home to Woodcote Football and Cricket Clubs, the annual Woodcote 10K and a number of annual cycling events.
